Redicom Commerce Cloud What sets Redicom Commerce Cloud apartSince 2002, Redicom has been developing Redicom Commerce Cloud in Santo Tirso and Lisbon: an e-commerce platform built for the rules of the Portuguese and European markets, from the invoicing required by the Portuguese Tax Authority (AT) to the GDPR. More than 500 projects have been implemented, some of which are presented in Customers. The choice of an e-commerce platform shapes a company's growth, operations and legal certainty for years. These are the four differences that matter most in that choice.

Fees on sales How much you save with no fee on salesOn platforms that charge a percentage of every sale, the cost rises with revenue. With a 1% fee, this is the amount that leaves the business every year, money that could be reinvested:
At Redicom, this fee is zero. Higher sales do not increase what you pay for the platform: growth should be a reward, not a penalty. Calculated with a 1% fee on revenue, the rate Shopify applies on the Grow plan when the store uses a third-party payment provider (Shopify's public pricing for Portugal, checked in September 2026). Stores using Shopify Payments do not pay this fee, but pay Shopify Payments' own card processing rates. Payment provider fees are not part of this calculation and apply on any platform, Redicom included. |

Platform comparison Redicom Commerce Cloud and Shopify: a comparisonShopify is the best-known platform of the standard e-commerce model: an international service, the same for every market. This is the comparison, point by point, for a store selling in Portugal.

Portugal and Europe The e-commerce platform built for Portugal and EuropeChoosing an e-commerce platform is one of the decisions that weighs most on the future of an online business: it defines how far the company can grow, how it works day to day and which legal risks it takes on. Redicom Commerce Cloud was designed from the ground up for the rules of the Portuguese and European markets, from the GDPR to the requirements of the Portuguese Tax Authority (AT), drawing on more than 500 projects delivered since 2002. AT-certified invoicing and tax complianceTo sell in Portugal, complying with the rules of the Tax Authority is not optional. Redicom Commerce Cloud includes an invoicing system certified by the AT (certificate no. 2857), and every invoice is issued in line with Portuguese tax law. There is no need to connect external invoicing software or run parallel systems, which reduces the risk of fines and simplifies accounting. The omnichannel POS is also certified. Physical stores and the online store invoice in the same system, and information from every sales channel is centralised. Growth with no fee on sales and predictable costsBusiness growth should be a reward, not a burden. Redicom charges a 0% fee on sales: the more a store sells, the more it keeps, and what it pays the platform stays the same. The same principle applies to the rest of the platform. Native B2B, direct ERP integration through APIs and the omnichannel POS are included, with no third-party apps adding monthly costs and technical complexity. Pricing stays stable, and the investment can be planned ahead. At Decenio, for example, B2C and B2B run on the same platform and the same flows, from order to return. EU-hosted data and GDPR complianceAs digital regulation grows, where data is kept and who controls it have become strategic decisions. Redicom is a European platform, and store customers' data is hosted in the European Union, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This protects customers' privacy and reduces the risk linked to international data transfers: when data leaves the EU, the GDPR requires additional safeguards, and fines for non-compliance can reach 20 million euros or 4% of worldwide annual turnover. The data belongs 100% to the merchant. Open APIs make it possible to integrate other systems, adapt processes and move the information to another system whenever and however the company decides, without being locked into the platform. A complete platform with an integrated omnichannel POSRedicom's omnichannel POS brings sales from physical stores, the online store and other channels into a single system. Stock, customers and invoicing are synchronised in real time, and the operation no longer needs parallel systems. Because it is part of the platform, the POS keeps pace with the business as it opens new channels or new stores, with the same cost predictability and the same tax compliance. At Lion of Porches, the certified POS went into the physical stores and now works with the same data as the website. |
